History

Bianor is a leading plastics injection moulder and emerging as an full service OEM company in Poland. Bianor was founded in 1997 following the transfer of the former Norplast activities from the Netherlands to Poland.

 

 

1997

  • Philips decides to transfer its Dutch Domestic Appliance production to Białystok. Norplast (a Schuttersveld company) follows.
  • Bianor is sold to Kendrion, a German ?Investment Group

1998

  • Start-up withonly 5 machines (now over 50)
  • Workfloor ca. 2,000 m2. (Now ca.15,000 m2!

 

 

2000

  • Bianor becomes ISO 9002 certificated
  • Acquisition of first 2K injection machine
  • Bianor starts prodcution, assembly and delivery of 1st finished product; (a child car seat for MotherCare)
  • Following a change in control of the company starts to diversify its customer base

 

2001

  • Start of co-operation with Siemens Bosch Hausgeräte
  • Bianor enters 'proffessional' markets: Makita, the Japanese worldleader in power tools selects Bianor for producing enclosures for its power drills.

 

2004

  • Bianor prodcues first product with gas injection technology

 

2005

  • Bianor enters the ‘packaging’ market with the production of DVD cases
  • investment in 3D measuring machines
  • Start up of an in-house painting shop

 

2006

  • Bianor engineers conduct the first test on applying the developped innovative Rotary Injection-Blow-Moulding technology.

 

2007

  • Nimbus the "hands investors" from the Netherlands acquires Bianor
  • Operational restructuring and re-organisation
  • All prodcution processes are re-engineered on basis of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • A prodcution management information system is introduced
  • Multiple (continous) training programms for all staff are introduced
  • Philips selects Bianor to prodcue the enclosures of innovative Living Color Lamp with Rotary-Blow-Moulding.

 

2008

  • Zelmer selects Bianor to prodcue a vaccuum cleaner
  • Bianor implements Six Sigma and the first employee obtains a Black-belt.
  • A semi-automated granulate distribution system is implemented
  • Bianor invests in modernising and expansion of its prodcution capacity

2009

  • Bianor undertakes test with bio-plastics and prodcues Philips first green vacuum cleaner
  • Philips awards Bianor the prodcution all plastic parts and components for its square Senseo: The Quadrante
  • Bianor housestyle is changed to underline the companies changes.

 

2010

  • Graco, the Newell Rubbermaid's Babycare division, teams up with Bianor to prodcue its European baby car seats.
  • Makita invites Bianor engineers to co-develop new enclosuers for some of its tools. Bianor set-up a fully automated 2K cell for the prodcution of housings for power drills.
  • Bianor signs a contract with the city of Bialsytok and the Suwalki Economic Free Zone to build a new factory in Bialystok.
