Bianor gains additional business from Makita

Bianor extends its cooperation with Makita, the global market leader in power tools. A new step in the successful co-operation between Makita and Bianor was made, when Bianor was awarded new projects from Makita’s Japanese Head quarters for supplying Makita Europe. The additional business covers more than a dozen plastic components.

Bianor produces casings and housings for Makita since 2006. The cooperation between Bianor and Makita is steadily developing, the Bialystok based company earned the status of a reliable supplier and true partner who is fully engaged in joint development projects.  The co-operation with Makita extends beyond the European branches and includes a close co-operation with development engineers from Makita’s headquarter in Anjō, Japan.

“We are currently finalizing the moulds for 5 new plastic casings for Makita Romania, Makita’s assembly plant for fast movers. Our engineers were involved from the very beginning; from the early design of the elements, the production of the moulds and the implementation of mass production” – says said Hans de Haas, CEO of Bianor. – The biggest challenge was to ensure efficient communication and effective collaboration in the triangle Japan – Poland – Romania. All three parties considered it was a perfect example of a successful co-development project. Mass production for these parts will start in July 2011.

The positive reception the Japanese engineers triggered further orders for Bianor, this time for 9 power tools elements. As proven successful in the previous projects, Bianor’s employees will support the customer’s team from the early stages of designing process and manage the production of the moulds.

Mr. Mahiro Banno, Director General Makita Europe “Bianor excellence in production and engineering capabilities made it possible for us to shorten new tool introduction lead time without compromising the production quality. Our Japanese engineers as well as Makita Romania and UK like to work with Bianor because they are flexible support and have a good work spirit.”

“We are proud of our performance and feel honoured by the compliments we received from Makita. It is good to see that our engineers can co-operate so effectively with the Japanese engineers in developing moulds for new power tools. The success is rooted in our people, their competences, professional skills and their passion for what they do. We listened to our clients and worked hard to deliver. This made it possible that Bianor does not only competitive price levels but also adds real value to our customers.” – adds Hans de Haas.
